Greetings,
I hope you all have had a restful weekend. I'm looking forward to beginning our school year this week. I also enjoyed meeting and talking with many of you during open house this past Friday. Thank you for the warm welcome. I have a few announcements I would like to share listed below, followed by this week's rehearsal schedule.
- I would like to welcome Mr. Brent Erickson to our staff. Brent will serve as our Percussion Instructor for this year's marching season. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our program and I am excited to welcome him to into our MVHS Band family.
- This week ONLY, instead of rehearsing on Tuesday evening, we will be rehearsing on Wednesday. This is so students are able to focus on preparing for our first day of instruction on Wednesday morning. If you have conflicts with Wednesday afternoon, please make sure you have a parent communicate this via email or by sending a parent note. Attendance is important and is being taken daily.
- Although Charms is a very important part of our communications system, this week I will begin using TalkingPoints as another form of communication. To join, you have the option of downloading the app and joining the group by using the class code (provided below) OR you may join by text message using the 10-digit number listed below, followed by texting the message. If you are a student, be sure to join the STUDENT group. If you are a parent, be sure to join the PARENT group. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out.
